Blotti automatically masks supported PII and credentials across native apps and browser windows, then gives you a separate protected window to share. Processing stays on your Mac.
A one-line email gets you on the launch list. No account required.

A safer sharing path
Three steps between private and presented.
Blotti sits between the source you choose and the window your meeting app sees. The original source never becomes the protected preview.
1
Choose a source
Select one display or one application window to protect.
2
Protect on your Mac
Apple Vision recognises text, then Blotti applies your local masking policy.
3
Share the safe window
Choose only “Blotti Share — Share This Window” in your meeting app.
Beyond the browser
Protection for the screen you work on, not only the webpage.
Blotti inspects captured pixels, so the same local protection path can cover supported text in native apps, terminals, documents, dashboards, and browser windows.

Structured protection
Mask the details most likely to slip through.
Blotti looks for supported emails, phone numbers, payment cards, IBANs, national identifiers, IP addresses, and credential patterns such as API tokens, AWS keys, and JWTs, then covers matches with solid padded masks.
02
Pro
App and window blocking
Keep whole applications out of the capture.
Choose applications or individual windows to remove before Blotti receives the pixels. It is useful for chat, password managers, customer records, and anything that should never enter the protected view.
03
Pro
Strict mode
Mask every text region Apple Vision recognises.
For high-risk moments, Strict mode hides all recognised text, not only known PII patterns. Text that OCR does not recognise cannot be masked, so review the preview before sharing.
04
Pro
Custom regex hiders
Teach Blotti patterns unique to your work.
Create locally saved rules that apply to every capture. Blotti masks the whole regex match within each Vision-recognised text region; tester text stays on your Mac and is not saved.
Privacy by architecture
Local by design. Closed on failure.
Blotti version 1 has no application account, advertising, capture-content backend, or custom-rule sync. OCR, custom-regex testing, and redaction happen locally. Saved hiders remain in the app container, and tester text is not saved. Only a newly rendered, protected image can reach the share window. If the capture or protection pipeline cannot continue safely, Blotti stops instead of publishing an unprocessed frame.
Try the full protection path before deciding whether advanced sharing controls fit your work.

Questions, answered
Know what is protected and what is not.
Good privacy tools are candid about their boundaries.
No. Version 1 performs capture, OCR, detection, and masking locally on your Mac. It has no Blotti account or screen-content backend.
Why does it need Screen Recording permission?+
macOS requires that permission before Blotti can read the display or window you ask it to protect. You can revoke it at any time in System Settings.
Does it work with Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet?+
Blotti creates a separate protected window for meeting apps to share. The meeting app must support individual-window sharing; inspect the preview and run a quick check before sensitive meetings.
Is Blotti a browser extension?+
No. Blotti is a native macOS privacy layer. It examines the pixels from the display or window you choose, so supported text can be protected across native applications and browser windows, not only inside webpages.
What happens if protection cannot continue safely?+
Blotti is designed to stop fail-closed instead of publishing an unprocessed frame. The last safely protected frame may remain visible while capture stops.
How do Pro subscriptions work?+
Apple administers eligible introductory offers, purchases, renewals, cancellation, and refund requests through the Mac App Store. Blotti uses StoreKit to verify access locally and includes restore and manage-subscription actions.
How do custom regex hiders work?+
Every enabled Pro rule applies globally to all captures and masks the whole match within one text region recognised by Vision. Rules stay in the local app container, and tester text is not saved. Regexes cannot match text Vision misses or joins split across separate OCR regions, so test with synthetic text and inspect the preview.
Built for thoughtful sharing
One more look before you go live.
Blotti reduces accidental disclosure risk. OCR and pattern detection can miss content, so it is not a guarantee of anonymisation or safe handling of every secret.
